The Bonavista Institute for Cultural Tourism (BICT) has been established to help tourism operators and cultural providers in providing world-class cultural experiences to visitors to Atlantic Canada.
Spearheaded by the Bonavista campus at the College of the North Atlantic and supported by the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), Tourism Atlantic and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, the Bonavista Institute for Cultural Tourism will draw on the wealth of local cultural resources to develop and deliver executive-level training based on the needs of the developing industry.
The Bonavista Peninsula is recognized provincially because of its strength in the cultural tourism sector and is home to a varied selection of heritage resources. It offers a natural setting for the provision of training and leadership to this growing industry.
It’s a leading-edge center for professional development in the cultural tourism industry in Atlantic Canada.
